BIESTA in the car

Sometimes we only read when we have to for lack of anything else. Lack of internet, people to talk to, pleasant situations, expectations.
Here this text comes from a similar situation: in the car waiting for some evolution of the situation.

I met BIESTA in person at a conference in Kraków. He seems like a good person, the kind of neighbor who never disturbs you and you see him go for walks in the countryside.

In this text, he defends a third perspective of the school, beyond mere instrumentalism and a single institution.
But an institution of democracy and not only for democracy.

I liked the text. It touches sensitive chords from my school experience. Place of freedom (from questionable social conditions and cultural models) but also an institution that perpetuates its game.

It reminds me that I have to say thanks to the school for taking me in (and for free). Yet thank you for getting rid of the school.
