My psychotherapy between Oedipus and Anti Oedipus
--
In 2020 I did six months of psychotherapy. It was a friendly approach, which led me to the Oedipus. Not having found other traumas in the growth path, Oedipus was my possible weak point. Me / my mother/my father entangled in the family constellation (Freud); then just me and the mother/part of her body (Melaine Klein). A beautiful path of descent into the dark, like Virgilio with Dante.
Then, when the Oedipus was placed as a fixed point in my psychic interpretation, I find in the hands the text Anti-Oedipus by Deleuze and Guattari.
The text is of an abstraction that I’m not used to. I have to transform the armchair and the room I am in a fluid to understand the machine’s concept, desire, liquids, and processes. Reality becomes wet next to me. I find the different parts of me liquefied, split into pieces, with an autonomous life. I reconstruct the history of my machines of desire.
The author proposes the evocative image of making a cartography of the lines of the psyche. What are we delirious about? Of the things of life. The delirium shows lines and each of them has its importance. The lines of flight are rivers of energy, lines of life on which the energy of life flows. These lines can be conducted towards death: that is, they stop being creative and generating lines to stop, turning towards themselves.
The line of flight becomes one of destruction. Schizophrenia shows that it has not withstood the blow of tension. Faced with the person with schizophrenia, we should ask ourselves: what could he not endure? Lines that become dangerous and can harm themselves and others. Some collections of paranoia plays show the geographic character of schizophrenia. Or they can anchor themselves to a territory (as in Becket’s stories, intensely experiencing the process). Fascism is a line of flight that quickly turns into a line of death for oneself and others. The line becomes a process without a purpose and without an object in itself. Your death crowns that of others.
